Waiheke is increasingly a bird lover’s paradise thanks to our extensive reforestation and government-funded predator-free Waiheke project, Te Korowai O Waiheke.


After your birding tour (max 3 hours) you are free to explore the magic of Waiheke Island on your eBike before returning to Matiatia at the end of the day.



In partnership with eRide Waiheke.


Join us to discover seabirds, shorebirds as well as birds of the forest in our regional park. Spot all the major species that make their home here whilst learning about our conservation efforts, their habitat and what makes these species special.

Starts:  9:45am - eRide - Matiatia Wharf, Waiheke Island

             10:15am - Commence cycle 

             11:00am - meet your Terra and Tide guide at Whakanewha Regional Park for your Birding Tour
